Learn about the different methods of brewing coffee and the brew variables that affect its quality. The brewing module provides practical information on grinding profiles, brewing methods, measuring coffee strength and recording coffee extraction.

 

3 levels

 

The students can divide the learning into three levels and thus use the individual knowledge and skills in each module to obtain certification in the three training levels.

  • Foundation (beginners)

    The Foundation level provides an initial look at a particular coffee discipline and is a great way to get a glimpse into a module to help you decide if you want to continue learning. The Foundation level does not require any prior knowledge. Courses at this level usually last 1 day.

    Intermediate (advanced)

    The intermediate level is suitable if you are already part of the industry, work in the area covered by the module and have a sound knowledge of the basic skills. Experience in this area is recommended for this level. Advanced courses usually last at least 2 days.

    Professional

    The professional level is suitable if you want to acquire a high level of specialist knowledge in your subject. Certification at this level should show employers the competence to work in this field of activity. It is recommended that you have extensive relevant experience before attempting this level. Candidates must have the intermediate certificate in the module before they can reach the professional level. Courses at this level are expected to last at least 3 days.
